Arby's Restaurant Group Acquires 15 Restauants

ATLANTA (December 22, 2005) - Arby's Restaurant Group, Inc. announced today that it has acquired 15 Arby's restaurants in the Indianapolis and South Bend, Indiana markets from Richard Best, president of Best Beef, Inc. and Lee-Leigh, Inc. Best and his family continue to own 16 Arby's restaurants in Indiana and South Carolina. This is the first acquisition since July 25, 2005, when the company began operating as Arby's Restaurant Group.

"Acquisitions are a key component in our growth strategy as we look to consolidate markets," said Doug Benham, President & CEO of Arby's Restaurant Group, Inc. "We have a very strong presence and loyal customers in Indiana; this acquisition complements our existing business while creating operating efficiencies." With the newly acquired restaurants, Arby's Restaurant Group will own and operate 53 of the 82 locations in the Indianapolis DMA, and 12 of the 18 restaurants in the South Bend DMA. The restaurant employees will transition to Arby's Restaurant Group, and operate with the company's West Region, also based in Indianapolis.
