Media Contact: Arby's Signs Franchise Agreements To Develop 14 New Locations FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (April 11, 2005) - Arby's, LLC has announced the signing of eight development agreements with existing franchisees to develop 13 new Arby's® restaurants, and announces a new member of the Arby's franchisee system. These agreements provide for the development of new Arby's restaurants in Washington, DC, Florida, Ohio, Illinois, New York, Texas and Michigan. "Growth is essential for providing our customers with greater convenience," said Jordan Krolick, Senior Vice President of Business Development for Arby's, LLC. "Both existing and new franchisees see the potential of the Arby's brand." The following are details of each signed development agreement: Zesta Foods, Arby's newest franchisee, will open one new restaurant in Texas. Glenn Miller, Managing Member of The Miller Group, has agreed to develop four new Arby's locations in Peoria and Chicago. The Miller Group, who has been a franchisee since 1986, currently own and operate 15 Arby's restaurants in Illinois. Michael P. Schiappa, President, Schiappa Foods Corp, has committed to develop three new Arby's restaurants in south Florida in addition to two previous commitments. He currently owns and operates three Arby's locations, and has been a franchisee since 2002. Six additional franchisees have agreed to add another Arby's to their portfolio. Dan Wallace, Neil Kaufman, Steve Carlson, Harry Eiferle, Jr., Abdul Aziz Andani and Robert Asmar will all open a new Arby's within the next 12 months.
